0ne in three Australians over 25 years of age have been prescribed medication or told by a doctor that they have high blood pressure (BP)1. If BP remains high, this can lead to serious problems including a heart attack, stroke, congestive heart failure or kidney disease. And if several other factors co-exist with high BP, such as smoking, high blood cholesterol, diabetes, or an unhealthy weight, the risk of serious health problems increases further.
