Therapeutic Approach to Brain Health and the Microbiome
Dr. Alessio Fasano is a doctor, paediatric gastroenterologist and researcher who in 1996, founded the Centre for Celiac Research at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. In 2000, his research lead him to the discovery of Zonulin, a protein which helps regulate intestinal permeability. Dr. Fasano is also an author within more than 240 peer-reviewed journal publications.
Within these webinars, Dr. Fasano discusses ‘The spectrum of gluten related disorders’ which looks at the improved hygiene of modern times, and how this reduced exposure to microorganisms may be implicated in auto-immune disease.
