The PHM triad and its impact on mental health
Changes in brain biochemistry contribute to depression, anxiety, behavioural disorders and spectrums of autism. These are impacted by numerous factors, including pyrrole disorder, histamine imbalance and altered methylation. This seminar offers practical application and case studies looking at the compounding effect this triad has on mental wellbeing and disease risk, clinical investigations and treatment strategies, including:
- Review histamine rich foods, foods that encourage a histamine spike and the impact on mental health
- Understand the implication of zinc and B6 depletion, the impact of elevated hydroxyhemopyrrolin-2-one (HPL) on antioxidants, vitamin and mineral requirements, SAMe and essential fatty acids, and the role they play in methylation and neurotransmitter production
- Investigate the powerful use of targeted compounds for the immediate relief of anxiety symptoms
- Demonstrate precise strategies for the low-serotonin type of anxiety, and GABA for the more physical type of anxiety
- Explore how to identify and address other neurotransmitter imbalances, together with genetic polymorphisms
The seminar will be filmed at ABC studios in Sydney. All registered attendees will get access to this session recording post event. This recording will include a presentation by Trudy Scott, Nutritionist and author of "The Anti-anxiety Food Solution: How the Food You Eat Can Help You Calm Your Anxious Mind, Improve Your Mood, and End Cravings."
