Regular, natural menstrual cycles are both an expression of underlying health and the means by which women make valuable ovarian hormones. In this presentation, Lara will provide a new framework for understanding menstruation as an important and integral part of human physiology. She’ll discuss the 2015 recommendation by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) that menstruation be regarded as a vital sign and young women encouraged to chart their cycles.
